Donald Eugene Tyo, 96 of Thornville died at 8:40 PM Friday, October 06, 2017 at the Oaks at Bethesda.
He was born on March 25, 1921 in Zanesville the son of William Elva and Ethel Bell McDonald Tyo.
Don was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, a WWII Army Veteran and had been employed at Mosaic Tile for 20 Yrs. He then worked for GE in New Concord for 20 years and did custodial duties for the New Concord Presbyterian Church.
Don is survived by his children; Frank (Jennifer "Penni") Tyo, Michael (Shelly) Tyo and Donna Kay (Joe) Sedeski; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews; and a brother, William (Kitty) Tyo. Don was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife, Kathryn Dailey Tyo in 2014; sons, Jerry & James Tyo; five brothers and ten sisters.
Friends may call 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service being held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 with Rev. Steve Dupler officiating. Burial Military Honors will conclude at the Greenwood Cemetery.
