Frederick "Bill" William Crawford, 91, of Gahanna passed at 2:42 P.M. Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Kobacker House, Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his three daughters.
He was born on Thursday, January 26, 1933 in Plymouth, PA the son of the late Charles E. Crawford and Margaret Fenwick Crawford.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Bill graduated from Harter High School in Plymouth PA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 1058, and West Muskingum Athletic Boosters. He had a love for sports, being an avid Buckeye and Brown's fan and playing basketball and softball to supporting all of his grandchildren at their sporting events. Family was his most important priority, Bill had a great sense of humor and told the best stories.
He is survived by his three daughters, Suzanne Crawford, Carolyn (Bill) Schlarb and Kathy (Kim Howe) Crawford; four grandchildren, Devon (Andrea) Norris, Jenna (Adam) Bornhorst, Nick (Lindsey) Schlarb, Maren (Jon) Joodi; ten great grandchildren, Ella, Hailey, Lilia, Penelope, Olivia, Lane, Gabe, Case, Jake and Claire; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Crawford; a son Billy Crawford; five siblings, Charles (Therese) Crawford, Paul (Margie) Crawford, Bob (Ann) Crawford, Matilda Crawford and Margaret (Jim) Dougherty; and two nephews Joe Crawford and PJ Crawford.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral mass celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Stephen Ondrey officiating. Burial with military honors will conclude at Zanesville Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions can be made in Bill’s name to Ohio Health Hospice Kobacker House, 3430 Ohiohealth Parkway Columbus, Ohio 43202.
