   Jeanne L. Dittmar, age 90, passed away June 17, 2017 at Willow Haven Nursing Home. She was born March 24, 1927 in Athens Ohio. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and a school teacher in Moundsville, West Virginia for several years and loved to help people. She was someone who always put others needs before her own, and “would give you the shirt off her back”.
   Jeanne was the daughter of Jay & Eleanor Powell and was the first of seven children. She is survived by two sisters; Mary Jane (Carol) Bolby of Logan, Ohio and Lois Hartly of Boulder, Colorado, and Avonell Powell of Hudson, Michigan and Sister-in-Law Norleen Powell of The Plains, Ohio. She had five children: Jeffory Dittmar, Susan Canter, Christy Watson (Ricky), Molly Jane Malone, of Zanesville, Ohio, and Toddy Gladwin of Missoula, Montana.
   She leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Melanie Coyle, Benjamin Gladwin, of Missoula, Montana; Danielle Baca, of Cairo, Egypt; Aimie Dittmar,Alicia Dittmar of Zanesville, Ohio; Kevin Watson, Annette Wilcox, Hayley Keffer of Zanesville, Alex Malone of Byesville, Ohio; Sam Malone, Ted Malone, Liz Nethers of Zanesville; D.J. Dittmar of Zanesville, and Todd Dittmar of Fort Pierce, Florida (who sent cards every special occasions and Holidays). She was blessed with 22 Great Grand Children and a “Very Special Friend,” Joanne Rucker.
   She is preceded in death by: Husband John Dittmar; Parents Jay & Eleanor Powell; Brothers Robert, Michael, and Arthur Powell; Son- in- laws Jerry Canter , Pat Malone, and Great Grand Daughter Emilee Wilson.
   A very special thanks to the fine people at Willow Haven Nursing Home for all the great care they provided to mom.
   Graveside Services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery at 10 AM.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Wounded Warrior Association.
