Carl E. Leckrone, Jr., 73, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away on March 13, 2023 at Grant Medical Center.
He was born on May 21, 1949 in New Lexington, Ohio, the son of the late Carl E. Leckrone, Sr. and Bonnie (Strohl) Leckrone.
Carl graduated from New Lexington High School in 1967. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1971. Carl was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, having lost a significant portion of his hearing during his service. He worked for many years at the U.S. Post Office in Zanesville, Ohio. Carl was an avid sports fan, and particularly enjoyed attending his grandsons’ sporting events.
He is survived by two sons, Joshua Leckrone, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jody (Brittany) Leckrone, of Nashport, Ohio; two grandsons, Caden and Carter Leckrone; siblings, Donald Leckrone, Pamela Harris, Nancy Ratliff and Sally Heiser; the mother his children, Karla Leckrone, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by five siblings, Judy Leckrone, Pat Moore, Dan Leckrone, Brenda Fries and Becky Ross.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Burial will be arranged at a later date by the family.
