Eleanor Lee Stemm

Eleanor Lee Stemm, 91 of Zanesville passed away peacefully Thursday morning, May 17, 2018 at her home.
She was born on September 14, 1926 in Roseville, Ohio the daughter of Carl Franklin Sagle and Elsie Fern Marshall Sagle.
Eleanor was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church where she was very active and sang in the choir. In her younger years she worked as a Telephone Operator for Ohio Bell and then after marriage was a homemaker. She had a beautiful voice and sang with the Greater Zanesville Ohio Choir.
She is survived by a grandson, Joshua Stemm of Florida; a sister, Twila (Ralph) Cater; nephews, Kevin (Marcy) Cater, Brian (Deb) Cater, Greg (Peggi) Cater and Steven Cater; several great nieces & nephews and one great great niece; special friends, Jim (Mary) Barbour, Jamey (Karla) Barbour, Tom (Vanessa) Ritchey; daughter-in-law, Valerie Devoll; and two boys very dear to her heart, Cameron and Cooper Devoll. She is also survived by her many special church friends, many of whom helped to transport her to church so she could stay active. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Earl Stemm Jr. and two sons; Jeffery Mark Stemm and Eric Douglas Stemm.
Friends may call 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev Marjorie McDaniel officiating. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
