Josephine "Jo" O'Toole, 92 of Zanesville died at 8:25 PM Friday, January 14, 2022 under Hospice care at her home following a brief illness.
She was born September 15, 1929 in Crooksville Ohio the daughter of Cecil Lake Wilson and Sue G. Mooney Wilson.
Josephine had been employed at one time at Essex Wire and most of her life she spent caring for family. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, an avid bowler & enjoyed crochet as well as some other crafts. Josephine also loved to tell & hear jokes. She was also known to take care of all the neighborhood cats and any other animal that might enter her area.
She is survived by her three girls, Teresa "Terri" O'Toole, Rebecca "Becky" (Donald) Taylor and Lori Hoopes; honorary daughter, Misty (Michael) Bolyard Lent; many nieces, nephews & great nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Josephine "Jo" was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. O'Toole Parents; a sister, Mary Jane Spears; 4 brothers, Robert, William, Richard & Joseph Wilson; and a son-in-law, Joseph E. Hoopes.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Ralko as celebrant. Burial will conclude at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter Society.
