Kathleen K. Feicht, 69 of Zanesville died at 6:46 PM Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born on Sunday, June 12, 1949 in Syracuse, NY the daughter of George W. Morris and Priscilla W. (Claflin) Morris.
Kathleen Feicht was born in Syracuse, NY. She was raised in the Washington, DC area, Tokyo, Japan and Cheltenham, Harrogate and Suffolk, England. She was graduated from Lakenheath High School, RAF Lakenheath, England and the University of Maine at Portland with a BSN degree. In Japan her family was a foster home for two Japanese orphans waiting to be adopted by American families. Her favorite year in grade school was when she attended ASIJ, the American School in Japan in Tokyo. Kathleen was employed by Pan Am, Washington, DC and the Medical Center of Beaver County, PA, now Brighton Medical Center.
She married Charles M Feicht, Jr, DO in Portland, Maine on June 7, 1980. Before moving to Zanesville they lived in Portland, ME, Brea, CA and Beaver, PA. In Zanesville, Kathleen became a member of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She also volunteered with many local organizations including Meals on Wheels, Christ's Table, the American Red Cross, Zanesville City Schools and Eastside Community Ministries.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Geoffrey M. (Audria) Feicht; a daughter, Sarah E. (Jim) Creagan; 5 grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Claire, Danny and Charlie “Baby Charlie”; and a brother, Whit Morris. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation hours will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM with Christian Vigil & Rosary at 7:45 PM on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church with Rev. JCP Sullivan as celebrant. Burial will conclude at the Mattingly Settlement, Nashport, Ohio.
