Cletus H. Schoeppner, 85 of Zanesville died at 8:10 AM Monday, November 27, 2017 at his home under hospice care.
He was born Sept. 14, 1932 in Caldwell, Ohio the son of Albert Schoeppner and Marie (Bishop) Schoeppner.
Cletus was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. He was employed by Good Samaritan Medical Center and retired after 30 years of service. Cletus was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus council 505.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sophia (Huck) Schoeppner; a daughter, Pamela Schoeppner of Zanesville; two sons, Randall (Bonnie) Schoeppner of Springfield and Gregory (Susan) Schoeppner of Centerville; four grandchildren, Bryan (Ashley), Matthew, Tyler and Kelsey Schoeppner, two step-grandchildren, Toby & Jon; great grandson, Emeric; two sisters Dolores Snider and Vera Baker; a brother Howard Schoeppner. Cletus was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his four brothers; Ralph, Norman, Melvin and Vernon Schoeppner; two sisters, Arlene Eller and Leona Schell.
Friends may call Thursday November 30th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Christian vigil at 6:45 PM at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Funeral mass will be held 10:30 AM Friday December 1st at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Ralko officiating. Burial with Military Honors to conclude at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, East Pike, Zanesville.
